Zombi is an autobiography of Anand Yadav won Sahitya Academi Award in 1990. This is the story about a boy who had to wrestle with hardships and hunger to complete his school education. This autobiographical novel is an authentic tale as much of the author and his family as of any of the hundreds of landless families from rural interiors.

Zombie is a heart touching novel. The tradition of practice keeps the writer’s grief in mind. Simple narration of his own life experinces keeps you entact till to end of the novel.
A must read book.
झोंबी हि हृदयस्पर्शी कादंबरी आहे. प्रथा परंपरा यातुन लेखकाची व्यथा मनाचा ठाव घेत राहते. ग्रामीण आदिवासी जीवनात प्रगतीच्या चक्राची गती अत्यंत संथ असते असेच म्हणावे लागते. सुखी, समृद्ध जीवनाची निर्मिती अतिशय संघर्षातून करावी लागते. सतत मूल्यांची मनाची विकट घालमेळ हृदयाचा ठाव घेते. तरी लेखकाच्या जीवनाची सुरुवात हि सम्पल्यासारखी होत नाही. संघर्षातून प्रत्येक उणीव भरून काढून प्रगतीपथा कडे निरंतर वाटचाल सुरु असलेली दिसते.
